Board of Directors
As a member-owned cooperative, Deseret First is governed by volunteers elected by our membership. Together, they provide strategic oversight, protect the long-term strength of the credit union, and help ensure every decision is made with members’ best interests in mind.
Unlike traditional banks, Deseret First Credit Union is owned by its members—not shareholders. That means our Board of Directors is elected by the membership to provide oversight, guide long-term strategy, and help ensure the credit union remains focused on serving members and strengthening communities.
Their leadership helps preserve the values, financial strength, and member-first approach that have guided DFCU for generations.

Nine dedicated professionals currently serve on DFCU's Board of Directors:

The Board of Directors serves as stewards of the credit union on behalf of every member. Working closely with executive leadership, they provide oversight, establish strategic direction, and help ensure DFCU remains financially strong for future generations.
Board responsibilities include:
• Providing governance and accountability
• Supporting long-term financial stability
• Approving strategic initiatives and major policies
• Protecting the interests of members
• Ensuring responsible growth and sound operations
Their work helps ensure DFCU continues delivering trusted financial solutions while staying true to its member-owned mission.

Strong governance requires independent review and accountability. DFCU’s Supervisory Committee helps safeguard the interests of members by overseeing audits, monitoring compliance, and helping ensure the credit union operates with transparency and integrity. Together, the Board of Directors and Supervisory Committee provide important checks and balances that support the long-term strength of the credit union.
Current committee members include:

Mark Andromidas
Chair

Michael Jensen
Secretary

Mike Gygi
Committee Member

Michael Gregory
